Missing Links
One major thing that really bites about computer crashes is losing links. I had *so* many craft links, Girl Scout links, shopping links... oh man... I'm so bummed I lost them. Of course, I am thrilled that I still have all my banking and photos.
Does anyone have some cool links to share? Pretty please?

WOOHOO!
BACK online baby!
No clue as to what might have happened with the computer. We ended up at Circuit City and picked up two of these boxes and a big ole 17 HP monitor. Heck - who needs money anyway? Thank goodness the hard drive in my system didn't get fried. We've got everything on that sucker. I think I would have had a nervous breakdown if everything was all gone. Oy - I don't even want to think about it!
Anyway, I hope you are all having a wonderful weekend. Ta for now.

Our main computer is crashed. I think the thunder and lightening storm from last night killed it. Husband is working on the machine now.

Still no high speed
I won't be able to have this internet problem fixed until Wednesday. Wednesday?!? ::sob:: That's when the service guy comes. So, I am stuck with dial-up until this is repaired. I hate dial-up. I got spoiled with my high speed connection. Now, I am lucky if I connect at 31,600! Eeek!
Weather-wise, it is cold. REALLY cold. Really REALLY cold. The girls and I will be inside, playing games, doing some arts and crafts, and relaxing. I think I might even be catching up on some long awaited crochet projects.
I had stopped crocheting before the holidays. If I have to trace it back to when, I'd say right after Dad died. I don't know why I had stopped. I just didn't feel like crocheting. It didn't feel right for me. I know - weird - but the thought of sitting with a project just made me crazy. I didn't want to do it. I didn't even want to go look at yarn or even buy any yarn. Of course, I owe my mom two crocheted items - a wrap made with black chenille (the thin Lion Brand chenille)and another wrap made using Patons Allure in sapphire.
I'll be popping online to check my email. ::sniffle:: I miss everyone.

New Pocket PC
Someone offered me an almost new <a href="http://www.amazon.com/exec/obidos/tg/detail/-/B00004VWM5/104-7563148-4116741?v=glance"target=_blank>CassioepiaEM 500</a> with an extra 32mb card for $70! Woohoo! It puts my Handspring Visor (over 3 yrs old) to shame. Beautiful color display, awesome software with the ability to sync to MS Outlook, Word, Excel and I can listen to mp3s on it as well! WOOHOO! I've been wanting a new pda for a while and this thing is perfect!
Do any of you use a pda/pocket pc? If so, which one?

Insane
My Mom wants a new computer. P and I have been shopping around for her, looking for a good deal. We checked on Dell's site as we have purchased several computers from them before. There were some awesome deals for a computer like double the memory, free cd/rw drives, free all-in-one printer.. all that fun stuff. The bonus - we did not need a monitor. She already has an LCD monitor. Sweet. We can save some bucks here. We configured a decent system and updated everything. The price came to under $600. Not bad at all. The <b>shipping</b> was $110 dollars!! WTF is THAT all about?? I dial their 800 number listed ever so obviously on the website. I play the touchtone game. I was on hold, waiting for a "representative" to help me when I get a recording telling me that the department I am trying to reach is <i>closed</i>!!! Dell is CLOSED on a Friday night?? I thought "No way!" and redialed the phone, listened carefully (again!) to all the telephone options and got transferred. I get the recording again! Well - BUH-bye Dell. You lose!
I ended up at HP's site and I managed to customize a sweet system PLUS there is free shipping and free hard drive upgrades as well. I have to call Mom in the morning and see what she wants to spend.

O has a play date this morning. She had a lot of fun and I had a great time chatting with Liz (the Mom). Ahhhh - grown-up time!!

A new look
I finally managed to change the banner at the top of my blog. OY - talk about going crazy! :crazy: It took me a while to figure out just where to put the code. I will be tinkering around with it here and there. I think I want to change the background of the blog too. The image was taken last spring when O and I went to Seaside Heights for the day. We were under Casino Pier and I snapped this photograph. I just changed it to black and white because I liked the look.

YAY!
I finally picked up a copy of Roxio's Easy CD Creator. Amazon had a good deal on it the other day (it's a better deal today - crap) and there's a $30 rebate back from Roxio. Not too shabby. I suppose it will be discontinued or the company will disappear in a puff of smoke now that I own this product. :laugh:
P has an appointment with the allergist today. He took a half day from work just so he can get his Epi-Pens renewed. He hasn't seen the allergist in 2 years! :eek: Oops.
I have Weight Watchers tonight - I hope I did ok this week. I am afraid this past weekend didn't help. I am drinking tons of water today! Flush the system baby!
