Not only did I have a crappy start to my day but now the evening is all effed up too.
The house has no heat.

Ouch! We had that two years ago. Furnace blew a valve or something. So we ended up waiting close to two weeks for the part to come in. Prayed that the outside temp didn't go below zero - which it didn't, thank goodness - but it still got pretty unbearable in here.
Finally had to bug out to the in-laws - a lovely nine-hour drive away - when the kids started waking up with blue fingernails. Ah, memories! Hope your heatlessness is shorter and less expensive than ours was!
