Stir Crazy

I've been trapped on my couch for a few days. Someone please put me out of my misery. I hate just sitting there. I did work on some of my GS paperwork. I also cancelled the meetings for both troops for this week and next week as well. I have been hobbling around, using my crutches and now my hands hurt too.

Boy, can I get any more whiny and pathetic?

Yeah, I suppose I could. I have an appointment in the morning for the orthopaedist. I'll have to see what his recomendation is for my foot. Right now, it's still wrapped in the splint/ace bandage gear. I want to rip it off and scratch the hell out of my leg. I don't even like to sleep with socks on so you can imagine how much this thing is driving me crazy.

On a good note, I did get to spend the day with Husband. My poor husband has been working very hard around the house, cooking, cleaning, laundry, taking care of the girls.... He's just fantastic and I adore him for not even complaining, even a little bit. Husband and my mom have been doing so much for me. I feel guilty just sitting with my foot up while they hustle around my home.

Ok - off to bed. G'nite everyone!

You should not feel guilty at all.

Last night, I saw a story on CNN International saying that a recent survey of the hours and tasks handled by moms (maid service, laundry, childcare, etc.) would translate into a salary of more than $150k in the business world. For working moms, their part-time evening housework would be worth more than $80k.

Considering that you work so hard, you deserve a vacation. Enjoy it and relax.

I agree with Marydell...enjoy the attention. As for the crutches hurting, here's a little trick I learned after my second or third time on crutches. Get old towels, hand towels for the tops and wash cloths work best for the had grips. Get some medical tape and wrap them around the parts of the crutches your body comes into direct contact with...it really makes them more comfy and cuts down on blisters.

Okay, please don't whack me with a crutch, but, just maybe, someone is trying to tell you to slow down a bit?

; )

Paul and your mother are both awesome!

I do hope you are more mobile soon and heal quickly.

It's so hard to "stop" once you've been "going" for so long. There's nothing worse than an active person being forced to be still. Gah!

I agree with Christina. *ducking*

Heal quick sweetie!

Oh honey. Take it easy and let the man take care of you for a change.

Hope you get to feeling better, I know when my other half (2/3rds) goes down, it's a nightmare.
