Happy Sunday

WHEW!

I can't believe that school startes a week from this Wednesday. Not too much time left on summer vacation. Youngesthad a small dance recital on Saturday. It was awfully cute watching her in her hip-hop routine. Unfortunately, she has learned how to shake her little bum as well. Eeeek.

Let's see, what else? Oh, attempting to catch up on GS stuff for both troops. I think we've got a decent year planned out. Eldest's troop is saving money to go up to a dude ranch in upstate NY in the spring. They are all VERY excited about that. Heck, *I'm* excited about that! Youngestwants her troop to go but they are still a little young for a weekend away. I'm not ready to drag 16 little first graders out of state!

Tomorrow, the girls and I are headed to Staten Island to visit my step-sister and her daughter. We are all looking forward to that. Usually, our schedules are so crazy, it's hard to coordinate anything. I hope the weather holds up but, if it tanks, we'll go to the movies instead.

In home improvement news, the old bathroom is looking better and better. It's been difficult to invest a serious amount of time into it due to our crazy schedules last week. Today, Husband had to move and solder some pipes. We managed a quick run to (Home Away From) Home Depot for yet another sheet of sheetrock as well as $30 of assorted plumbing bits. The other day he brought home the new vanity and counter. The bathroom is going to look great. The walls, well, they are going to be somewhat plain and beige-ish. So, I am going to go with a funky shower curtain and towels. I'm thinking red!

Ok - I'm off to bed. G'night!

I went, yet again, to Lowe's yesterday and I think I'm there at least 4 times a week. This trip was for some assorted items, but I mostly needed caulk for 2 things: bats and baseboards. Every time I seal up a bat hole they find another way in and I'm nearly ready to move into the bedroom. (What'd that take? 10 months?)
