I think the same thing!
Check out this article written by Leslea titled "I'm a Mommy? When did that happen?"
This says it best for me:
I may not have dreamed of becoming a Mommy. It may not have happened with trumpeting thunder and earth-shattering proclamations from the gods, but it certainly did happen, and it's made me better. It has made me more whole and steady and strong — and more real than I ever imagined I could be.
Amen sister!

Thank you very much. I used to read one blog in particular where this woman was always being praised for writing really hateful stuff about being a mother. Yeah, it is hard sometimes. Sure, sometimes you have to make huge personal sacrifices. This morning I was even thinking "you know, someday I'll probably be taking care of someone's parents, maybe even my grandchildren," and lemme tell you, I was not overly excited happy thinking about that--I thought "when will I have time for *me*?"
But I realized--this is life, this is how it is, this makes me *better*, more valueable, more worthy of being part of the world around me, and definitely more appreciative of the work that goes into each and every one of us, as people.
If I had not become a mother, I'd still be living inside a little world of perspective that could never be this rich.
Thank you for your mention and your Amen!!!! Thank you for your sisterhood! It feels good to be heard.
