There's been a delay...
Delayed opening, that is.
The kids were thrilled to be able to sleep in but still bummed out about actually having to GO to school. Husband has today off - I'm pretty psyched about that. I'm sure all you ladies can guess why two adults, who just happen to be home alone, would be happy to spend time together.
::wink wink nudge nudge::
So we can go to Home Depot! To buy flooring!
:::whistles blowing,hands clapping::
Ok, maybe not ALL of you would go to the Depot but I want flooring for the addition and today is the PERFECT day to do it. The girls will be at school, which means no crying and whining (by me because we had to drag the kids with us) in Home Depot. I hate dragging the girls there. They are SUCH pains in the butt whenever we go there - you'd think that a 9 and 6 year old would LOVE going to a home improvements store. ::snicker::
Husband and I need new snow boots. The pair I bought last year are good but they are only ankle high. Not good when there are 12" drifts in the driveway. I also need to drop off the Valentines Day cards to the local nursing home. I hope that goes well and the residents enjoy the cards.
I'm off to drive Eldest to school. Ciao!

I didn't even have to expand this post to know that it had nothing to do with sex. Your house sounds just like ours. The kids are gone and we are shopping or working around the house. How'd you guys fair in the snow?

Our district was closed today, but the little one had preschool. The roads weren't too bad, we probably could've gotten away with a delayed opening. However, we haven't gotten a day off yet this year and three are built into the calendar- I bet they just decided to blow one instead of bringing the grounds staff in to shovel at time-and-a-half on a Sunday.

I love DIY stores, and I'm a sucker for the makeover programmes on tv too. I can't think why, I live in a small rented flat. My Mum keeps telling me that I need a four bedroomed house to try out all my ideas. I'm definitely better at the planning than actually doing the work though!
