Fun Fun Fun

We all had a great day yesterday. Miss Mary graced us with her lovely charming self and was lucky to get a quickie lesson in spackling and taping from Husband. She also met my FIL and BIL, who were also down to help work on the addition.

Speaking of addition, the house is coming along quite nicely. The walls are in place and are now getting spackled and taped. It's not going to be too much longer. I'm so excited! I have to narrow down the paint colors and pick out flooring - carpet or hardwood/laminate. At this point, it's going to be the nicest of the most inexpensive. We are at the end of our budget. Oy - additions are quite expensive!

The girls are relaxing today. Well, Youngestis and Eldest will be out selling cookies. She's up to 172 boxes! We've got one more big street to hit and I am sure she can get 28+ boxes out of that. We'll see what she wants to do after that - she got pretty pumped up last week, even though it was cold, she wanted to keep selling. I've got to admire this kid . She is tenacious, just like her parents.

Off to sell Girl Scout cookies!

We went with laminate and got a great price from Sams club on a smoky Maple color. Installed it ourselves, 520 sq ft for %855. Cheaper than hardwood.
Good luck

Your so right about additions being expensive. We couldn't believe the estimate we got to enclose the back porch into a sun room... all it needs is three walls w/windows and a door! We finally decided to just screen it in, and put all the money into finishing the basement for the same $$. Good luck and I can't wait to see how everything turns out! :-)
