A fleeting moment....

I spend an hour in Youngest's classroom this morning. Man, kindergartners can be so sweet. I had three of Youngest's buddies ( 2 girls and 1 boy) tell me that I looked beautiful. Awwwwwwwwww. How sweet is THAT? I need those kids around just to keep my ego boosted. When it was time to leave, Youngestput her coat in to leave (we have an ENT appointment) and the kids were just totally perplexed. It's funny to watch the kindergartners react to something that is not on their daily routine. LOL.

So, I hope all goes well today. I am just going to flat out ask for ear tubes to be placed back in Youngest's ears. One tube fell out but the other one is still hanging on and still in the eardrum. She had the procedure back in June 2003. I feel so bad for Olivia. She wants to be able to go underwater SO badly. It doesn't help that she was invited to another birthday party - at the local indoor pool. So now she's the allergy kid with ear tubes. ::sigh::

Poor kid.

My son told my hair dresser, "my mama's fat, but I love her!"

Not exactly an ego boost, but sweet none-the-less!

Kids can be so beautifully honest. I wish I knew what happens to them between that age and adulthood. We must isolate out the processes that strip them of this so that they grow up just as sweet.

Ask Olivia's audiologist about swim plugs. I had tubes in my ears throughout my childhood and I had these special made ear plugs for bathing and swimming. They worked pretty good. I wouldn't recommend that she go diving or stay under the water for long periods but they worked well enough for playing and splashing in the water- and putting my head under every now and then.
