Not Like The Other

Anyone remember when Sesame Street did a segment called One of these things is not like the other The child had to choose what word didn't belong in a group of four words. I'll give you an example if you are not familiar with this game:

apple
banana
orange
car

Now, obviously, the word that does not belong is - car. See how easy this game is? Let's try it with a new set of words. I'll make it a little more difficult by using phrases instead of single words.

Christmas lights
Christmas cookies
Christmas presents
Nine year old daughter waking up at 230am and vomiting.

Can anyone guess which phrase doesn't belong with the others? Oh yeah, I bet you can!

I'm gonna go with the lights. Clearly, the child was overwhelmed by the pending approach of Christmas and all the presents. The cookies she then overindulged in to pass the time while Christmas came closer and closer simply delivered the final blow (no pun intended).

Hope she feels better soon!!

It's the cookies isn't it? Cos you don't eat the others.

(Kidding. Hope everyone's feeling better soon!)

Yeah, it's the cookies. Who has time to bake when you have to spend all that time at the pediatrician and pharmacy?

At least it happened now. I know that sounds strange, but if it was on Christmas Eve itself, it would've been worse. Hope she's better soon, and it doesn't spread to everyone else!

Sorry to hear that. I can recall a Christmas Eve trip to the pediatrician with a sick kid. I feel your pain. I hope she feels better soon.

It's funny you should talk about the "one of these things is not like the other" because I've long been planning a post inspired by this. Have no fear though, it's actually nothing like yours.
