Howdy ho neighbors!
I need a wife.
No, not for THAT. Sheesh people. Really.
I need someone to run (aka CLEAN) my house while I am gone during the day doing things - like PTA, Girl Scouts, the gym, food shopping, all that fun stuff. Right now, the house looks awful. I've got stuff everywhere and not a lot of places to put the stuff. Husband is busting his butt and really working hard. Poor guy, works all day then comes home and works more at night.
I just can't wait until this addition is complete. I am craving order.

I've been saying for years that I needed a wife. I used to tell my ex-husband that all the time. It wasn't fair that he got to have a wife and I didn't. I meant for the cooking, cleaning, laundry, social calendar coordinating, errand running, etc. benefits. Turns out, in the end, I was the only one in our relationship that actually wanted a wife. Ahh, the irony.

Order will come. Disorder is a sign of a happy, lived-in house.

You don't need a wife, you need a clone or two.

I have an author friend who's just so involved in the promotion of his book, driving all over the place to visit bookstores, libraries, etc. And when he prods me to do the same, spending as much time as he does on this, I simply say, "Well, I don't happen to have a wife, like YOU do. I can't just take off and leave for days at a time."
And it's true, isn't it? We're still the wife, the mom, the one in charge of a thousand details, running the house, doctor appointments, etc. No matter what else we have to do, too.
