Good-bye
I'm feeling a little emotional today. My fantastic neighbors are moving to North Carolina. We've known them for about eight years. Her youngest son, who is one year younger than Eldest, would play with Eldest all the time. While I am thrilled for them, I am pretty sad to see them leave. She stopped over this afternoon and we chatted for about 20 minutes, pretty much delaying the real reason why she stopped to visit.
Saying good-bye.
She finally stood up and said she had to get back to her house. The closing is tomorrow. I walked her to the door and when she turned around to give me a hug, I just dissolved into tears. She had also started to cry. We hugged again and she walked away, wiping her eyes.
She didn't look back.
Tonight, I watched this week's Six Feet Under. I cried through just about the entire episode. I think watching Nate's memorial service gave me flashbacks to my Dad's service. It was beautiful. The gentleman who read my father's eulogy was kind enough to email me a copy several days later. I still pull it up and re-read it every once in a while. I still cry when I read it.
I am tired of good-byes.
