The end is near...

Eldest has four more 1/2 days and we are DONE with school! Hooooray!

We've been busy getting stuff done around here. Husband moved the pool pump and had to dig a trench and bury the electrical wiring. We will be inspected tomorrow. Wheee. Men in my house.

For all you roller coaster freaks, bad news about Kingda Ka - it's closed for the next couple weeks. Personally, I like roller coasters but I *hate* going upside down. Barf.

Youngest's been playing some cds with kid songs on them and now I've got this damn song stuck in my head:
Ta rah rah boom dee ay
Ta rah rah boom dee ay
Ta rah rah boom dee ay
Ta rah rah boom dee ay

What the hell is a boom dee ay anyway? I prefer George Carlin's version of this song:
Tah rah rah boom dee ay
Did you get yours today?
I got mine yesterday
That's why I walk this way.

Childish? Yep. Funny? Hell yeah.

Fun linkage for the day - Dancing Husband. I love this site.

My friend sent us some other views of this roller coaster once and we thought it was a digital made up coaster - Deputy found out it was real and I think he's putting pennies away for vacation to go there some day!!

OMG! I wouldn't go on that thing for a million bucks! 2 million.....maybe. ;-)

Love that Dancing Paul! Too Funny!

George's version is indeed funny. :D

There are so many crappy stories going around about roller coasters... did you hear about the little boy dying in Florida?

And I'm sorry; but that coaster looks WAY too scary!!

Wow, that thing looks terrifying.

Never in a million years... Ugh.

Not me . Too scarey for me.
I love the Paul dancing. Too funny!!!!

When I first looked at the picture, I thought it was a constructed toy, but now I see that it looks like one heck of a thrill ride!

I wonder if a "boom de ay" is related to a "boom boom", as in

"Boom! Boom! Ain't it great to be crazy?"

I worked at Great Adventure for six years, including one summer on the Mine Train (that's the "Runaway Train" to you tourists). I think I saw waaaay too much behind-the-scenes stuff to get on THAT rollercoaster!

I love roller coasters too but I wouldn't ride that one!!! That looks scary!!!

That's a real rollercoaster!?! Holy crap! I thought somebody was playing around with Photoshop or something. I won't be going near that one!
