Sunny Sunday
We're going to a BBQ later today at my SIL's house. Should be a lot of fun. Youngest's feeling better. The pedi prescribed eye drops for her - Ocuflox. Youngestdoesn't like the drops but she's been one helluva good sport about getting them put in her eyes. I think now I'm getting sick or my allergies have totally kicked into high gear. The pollen counts are totally off the charts. I read this in yesterday's Asbury Park Press:
Dr. Robert Rabinowitz couldn't believe his eyes as he checked the pollen count recently. The reading — 3,200 (emphasis mine)— was off the charts.
"A number in the low 100s is considered high," Rabinowitz, an allergist immunologist at Community Medical Center, Toms River, said of the May 13 reading. "When you see one that high, you know people with allergies are really having a hard time."
That's just disgusting. Yesterday, before our 5pm thunderstorm, the wind was blowing really hard. AS I was looking out my front door, I watched in total disgust as clouds, yes CLOUDS, of pollen were being blown from the trees. I wanted to gag. My girls are hacking and sneezing constantly. I can't lock them up in the house. It's gorgeous outside. Cool and sunny. Hell, it's going to be 74 degrees! Oh well, we will just medicate the crap out of ourselves and have a good time.
I'm off to bake some cookies. Have a great day!
