Dinner
Tonight I made pork chops, mashed potatoes and broccoli.
I never used to like pork chops, always thought they tasted gamey. Ew. But, P finally convinced me to try them. So, I picked up a package of chops, seared them in a pan then baked them. They tasted delicious! I had my "Green Eggs and Ham" moment after I tasted the chops. P was thrilled as he has been begging me to make pork chops for the longest time.
Are you ready to watch <i>The Sopranos</i> and <i>Deadwood</i> tonight??

Pork chops were always on the menu when I was growing up. Here in the South, we bread 'em and fry 'em in a skillet. And Mom would always make fried taters and cornbread. And by fried taters, I don't mean hashbrowns. I'm talking about big chunks of potato fried up in an iron skillet. And her cornbread was the best on the planet. Still is.
I'm getting hungry.
