Finally!

A moment to sit on my ass in a completely silent house. Ahhhhhhhhhhhhhhh!
::::::::::Mommmmmmmmmmmmmmmmy:::::::::::::::
Oh well, I enjoyed it for the few moments it lasted.

Today was, well, busy. I don't want to have to do a day like this again. O and I picked up M at school by 10am. We made to the opthamologist's office by 11am. M freaked out when it was time to do the eye drops for her dilation. Needless to say, it took a couple nurses to help hold her down.. lol.. she's pretty strong.
The exam went just fine until the doc wanted to check her eyes for glaucoma (runs in the family). He needed to put in some drops in one eye. She spazed out again but he got it in her eye. The doc made a deal to only check one eye and she finally did it. Of course, she was fine after all that.
When we were finished, I got the script for her glasses and we split. I bought the girls McD's because they were pretty awesome at the doctor's office. Next, we headed to the mall to pick out glasses at Lenscrafters. She tried on about 4-5 pairs before we decided on the Barbie frames she has now. I picked out a replacement pair for me too. I had to have a saleswoman help me out as it is damn near impossible to pick out frames and try them on alone. I really like the pair she picked out for me.

<img alt="glasses.jpg" src="http://sugar-plum.net/kate/archives/glasses.jpg" width="208" height="229" border="0" />

Anyhoo - we had to wander around the mall for "about an hour" before the glasses were ready. Gee - I get to shop too?? Wheee! We wandered around the Disney Story, Old Navy, B Daltons, KB Toys .. all over... Didn't really buy anything, just wandered.
We get back to Lenscrafters and had to wait for about 15 minutes before we could pick up both pairs of glasses. We finally get our turn, try everything on, get adjusted, etc and finally leave. As I am walking out of the store, I reached into the diaper bag (no diapers, just stuff) for my keys. No keys. Ok - so I stop and really root though the bag. No keys. At this point, I am screaming in my head "Nooooooooooooooooo!" I can't find the damn keys anywhere. I ended up outside in the mall parking lot, trying to peek into my windows to see if I had locked my keys in the car. I didn't see them. Now, I am officially pissed off and freaking out. I called P at work and made arrangements for him to meet me at the mall when he got off work. I walked back into the mall, with the girls who are now starting to talk about about my missing keys. "Maybe someone stole them" or "Mommy lost her keys. Great". Smartasses.
P finally shows up and unlocks the car. My keys were there - they had slipped under some papers on my car seat. We haul ass home - O conked out in the car and we made it home by 510pm. Slapped a crappy dinner of leftovers together and we feasted like kings. LOL
Loong night but we got the kids into bed without killing them. P and I are toasted. Luckily, he is off tomorrow so he will be driving his butt to Hoem Depot and BUYING MY FLOOR!!
Ok - I am spent. I have to catch up on my reads! Have a great night!

Why?

Why do people write a description for a "HUGE LOT" when it's only 4 or 5 items?

Evening recap

M had tae kwon do this afternoon. P had to work late again tonight. Luckily, I had dinner all set up in the crockpot - salisbury steaks in gravy. Yum. After dinner, we had the usual routine - dessert, homework, medicines, washing up and pjs. I managed to crochet up a couple cotton washclothes and, if I may say so myself, they look pretty darn good!
Tomorrow, I managed to score an eye doctor appointment for M. I noticed that she squints - a lot. ::sigh:: I hope she doesn't need glasses. I will out all day as the appointment is at 11am. She will be going to school for an hour or so and then I will pick her up at 10am. I left a message for her teacher to get assignements ready for her and she can do them in the doctor's office and the car.
See ya later! Have a great night and a good tomorrow!

Wow

I just found out from <a href="http://thegofish.com/">Mac</a> (thanks babe!) that there is a <a href="http://www.eastonmuseumofpez.com">Pez museum</a> right near the Crayola Factory!! That is awesome news. Pez is one of the few candies that O can eat and she LOVES them. Oh boy - this is gonna be an expensive day trip. LOL.

Crayola Factory

I think I am going to take the girls out to the <a href="http://www.crayola.com/factory/">Crayola Factory</a> some time next week. I have been wanting to go there for several years and I know the girls will have a blast! Besides, they are off all of next week as well as the following Monday and Tuesday. NJEA conventions, fall break, etc....
So - any of YOU guys live near there?

$1500 for a leather bustier

Speaking of television, did anyone catch the Citibank commercials about identity theft? The one that makes me literally burst out laughing is the one with this Al Bundy-type of guy, sitting in his old recliner, lip syncing in this "Valley Girl" voice. Too fricking funny.

Dark and cold

Man - this weather is dammed depressing. I just want to crawl back into bed and go to sleep!
Tonight, P and I will be picking out the vinyl floor tiles for the kitchen floor! Hooray! We also need to buy all new sheeting for the floor as well as some other stuff from Home Depot. I can't wait! We have been walking on subfloor for a while.
Well- we have to pick up M from the bus stop. See ya later!

Book Fair

M's school is having a book fair this week. Her class is scheduled to go at 1135am. Her teacher sent a notice home and it stated that the parents could attend as well. Yay! O is all excited about it - I think she is scheming for a book too. M had picked out ten or so books. I suggest that she scale it back to two or three paperback books and save the "big books" for Santa.
Off to get ready!

CRAP!

Dammit - I had an entire post written and poof. It never published.

I had written about being ghosted. It's a Halloween version of ring and rung and leaving a gift behind in a pumpkin. It's usually filled with candy and/or little toys as well as a sign to proudly display on your door as some sort of badge of honor. Then, since you were the lucky recipient of the pumpkin, now YOU get to ghost two other people who haven't been ghosted. Our house got ghosted about two weeks ago. Whoop-de-do. I didn't put the sign up fast enough and we got ghosted again. I refuse to participate in this. In fact, I'd like to smack the crap out of the person who created this game.

Maybe I am a grinch but this is a bit over the edge.

Preschool

Today, I have read two great posts written by two <a href="http://www.moodymama.com/archives/000755.php">wonderful</a> <a href="http://www.noshoesorsocks.net/archives/000112.html">women</a>. Posts like these make me really wonder WHY I send O to preschool. She can count to 40, knows her abc's, knows a lot of states and where they are located on the map, etc etc... Not bad for 3 1/2 years old. I placed her in preschool more for a social aspect, not counting on it to educate her. If she learns in school, that's fantastic. They do more crafts, reading and some activities. Frankly, for almost $200 extra a month, we could do a lot more.
Oy, now I really have to think about this.

Oops

Well - I forgot to give M her lunch money today. Luckily, I was already in the school when her teacher saw me and asked me about it. I was able to run back out to my car and get some money for M. Poor kid - she probably had a breakdown because of that. She is *so* sensitive and cries so easily sometimes. I get so frustrated with her but I try not to show it because it just makes matters worse. ::sigh:: Poor kid.

Sunday Sunday Sunday!

Whatta weekend!
Congratulations to the Florida Marlins for whooping the Ny Yankmees. Josh Beckett - you DA man! He pitched an amazing game. Just goes to show you the stamina of a 23 year old....

Yesterday was just the usual business. A three hour birthday party at the local roller rink. It was loud and crowded but the kids all seemed to have fun. The rink also offers skating lessons. I will be signing up Eldest ASAP. We did manage to have a quiet night. Husband took a nap while the girls and I ate popcorn and watched SpongeBob and Lizzie McGuire. I put on the game and they woke up Husband. The girls got tossed to bed by the third inning. Husband and I were HOOKED on this game. He was really rooting for NY ::snicker:: and I spent a lot of time teasing him about them. We finally went to bed when the game was over. We ended up watching the second Trading Spaces episode with Edward and Kia. I was channel surfing on the commercial breaks and I caught the second half of Panic Room. Kinda cheesy. It reminded me of Die Hard except not as good.
We had church today. Husband got a phone call at 7am to go into work. Ick. But three hours at time and a half - I'll take it thankyouverymuch. We stopped at the Dollar Tree on the way home and picked up glow sticks for Halloween. We just finished up lunch and the girls are watching Veggie Tales. Our church has a lot of the tapes and we borrowed three of them.

Well - off to do some laundry and stuff! Ta!

Nice night

Mom ended up staying almost until 7pm. I made beef stew and I have to say it was awesome. I also made baking powder biscuits - yummy! Mom is in the market for a new computer so Husband and I are helping her out. I think we are going to get her an eMachine. Yeah - I know there are some really kick ass systems and I know we could build one for her but she just does email and shops. Husband doesn't have the time to build one for her. For under $500, you can't go wrong. Plus - I think she is getting sick of dial up. Praise the Lord!
I have a crazy crazy day planned for tomorrow. Get this:
Both girls at school by 845am
Gym.
Shower, dress, etc.
Youngestpicked up by 1130am.
Drive Youngestto Mom's place (roughly 30 minutes away).
Stay for 20 minutes then escapeleave.
Stop at the Girl Scout council to pick up some items.
Be at meeting place by 250pm.
Girl Scout meeting 315pm-415pm.
Clean up and leave meeting place by 430pm-445pm (hopefully!).
Rush home with Eldest to eat a quick dinner.
Get her in costume and drive to tae kwon do place for a Halloween party that starts at 6pm.
Leave by 7pm to go back home, praying that Husband is already home with Olivia.
Go to Pampered Chef party witch starts at 730pm.

The kicker - I *want* to do all these things! LOL

Mom is on her way down. She's going to have dinner with us tonight. She wants to see the girls... and, oh yeah, P and I too. LOL.

Hello! Just had a busy morning with exchanges, laundry and Girl Scouts.

I had a great chat last night with <a href="http://redgrandam.colagrl.com/">Susan</a>! I can't wait to chat with her again sometime soon.

Well - off to do more stuff. I promise I will be back later.

Hubba wha?

Who the HELL is that nasty looking skank singing "God Bless America" at the World Series? She looked like someone just rolled her out of a dumpster.

Oh - and the Bud Light commercial with the dog shooting through the moonroof of the limo makes me freakin' laugh my ass off every damn time. Especially when the "dog" lands on the roof of the limo with a loud THUD.

Puttering around

I did a lot of stuff around the house but nothing particular comes to mind. I guess a lot of it was just basic house maintenance. You know, laundry, dishes, laundry, laundry, dusting, laundry, making the bed, laundry... you get the idea.
We have tae kwon do tonight. M is being crabby about going. I think she still enjoys it but does NOT like to practice at home. The instructor has made a video of some of the forms. We watch that occasionally and we make M get up and practice. Literally FORCE her up and make her practice. Oy - it's stressful to say the least.
P has to work late tonight. I hope things are ok at work. He didn't sound too happy when I had spoken to him earlier.

Howdy hi neighbor.

It's nice and cool outside casa de KateSpot. I love it. I just read on <a href=" http://www.ailurophile.com/karen/">Karen's</a> blog that the clocks get set back this week. Doesn't it seem early this year?
I just saw a preview for a new Warner Brother movie starring Brendan Fraiser - <a href="http://www2.warnerbros.com/looneytunesbackinaction/index.html">Looney Tunes:Back in Action</a>. He looks <i>really</i> yummy doesn't he?

Makin' copies

Anyone remember Rob Schneider as "Rick the copy guy"? <a href="http://sugar-plum.net/kate/archives/copies.wav"><i>listen</i></a>. That's what I did today at Staples - made copies. Lots of copies. 288 copies, to be exact.

Thanks for the very nice emails and comments. I am feeling a little better this morning. I guess I just got a little down and out.
And now for something completely different...
M is selling nuts and chocolate covered raisins and pretzels for her troop. If anyone wants to purchase some, let me know. No pressure - honest! Besides, girl scout cookies are coming this winter. Mmmmm!
Well - I have to go to Staples and make a ton of copies for the troop. We have a meeting on Friday. Then, I have to go to the bank and get <a href="http://sugar-plum.net/kate/archives/004136.html#004136">another ATM card</a>.

Whew

Finally! A moment to sit and type.

I did make it to the gym (yay me!) and I felt great afterwards! I came back home and practically scarfed my breakfast! LOL!. I puttered around here then picked up O at school. Then, we headed over to ShopRite to pick up a few things. After I paid, we headed out to the car. I loaded everything up and was planning on stopping at the gas station. I could NOT find my ATM card. I *just* used it. ACK!! So - I called up my bank and reported it missing. They cancelled the card immediately. All I have to do is go into my branch and they can issue me another card on the spot. This would be my third missing ATM card this year. I am sure I will find it underneath my seat in the car or something as soon as I pick up my new card. Duh.
Talked to Mom. She is back from vacation and had a great time. She is pooped and had a ton of laundry to do! Ick - the only downside to vacations.
Well - off to cater to O's every whim and desire ::snicker:: Not.

Good day

They didn't get back home until 2pm! The girls had so much fun kite flying. Of course, they wanted to play at the playground afterwards. A few of M's buddies showed up so they all ran around and had a great time.
After lunch, we all went out back and cleaned up the back porch and yard, dumping out my plants, sweeping up the leaves off the deck, etc. My vegetable plants were still producing tomatoes, peppers and cucumbers! Unreal. I felt bad pulling them up but the season is over. I did snag about ten grape tomatoes off the vines. O was thrilled as they are her favorite. The girls raced around the backyard, playing and fighting. I hope they crash out tonight!
Dinner is way casual tonight. Hot dogs, tater tots and salad. I am pooped and don't really feel like cooking. I gave the family a choice - hot dogs or pasta w/sausage. They all picked hot dogs. Whatever.
Don't forget to watch Game 2 tonight. Go Marlins!!

Hmm - time for a cuppa cawfee!

Whoops

Dinner was delicious tonight. Everybody had plenty to eat. After dinner, around 715ish, I popped in a Veggie Tales tape for the girls. I was all set to sit on the couch and crochet (got a great deal on yarn at Michael's today). At 730pm, the phone rings. M answered and gave me the phone. Tracy, my neighbor, was on the phone. I said "Hey, what's up?" She said "Did you forget?" I was a little surprised and then it hit me. DOH! I was supposed to go to her house at 715pm and play Bonkos! ARRGGHH! I totally forgot! Friggin' idiot! Luckily, she only lives two houses away so I managed to get over there within ten minutes. Her mom, who is a riot, was ripping on me. Stuff like "Gee, nice of you to make it". LOL. Of course, I didn't win a damn thing but I had a great time anyway.

M has a birthday party today. It's going to be held at the place where M goes to tae kwon do. Cool. Unfortunately, she also has a party in another week at the locak skating rink. She doesn't like to roller skate. She has a hard staying on her feet. Ugh - that party is going to suck.

10:21 and all's well

All well - and awake. The girls are wired. I brought M with me to the candle party. One of her buddies was there with her mom, with whom I am pretty friendly. Of course, I didn't know anyone else but I had an ok time anyway. I did pick up some nice stinky candles - lemongrass pillars, honeydew tea lights and an exhilaration pillar. I can't afford those huge 3 wick jobs. I might break down and actually host one of those things. Then, I could get a bunch of stuff! But, not until late winter/early spring. Hopefully by then, my house will be somewhat more organized. ::snicker::
When we got home around 940pm, O wasn't even in her pj's. She and P had a great time so I don't really care about the pj issue. P is reading "Hop on Pop" to O, one of her favorites.
Time to tuck in the kiddies. Yay!

Done

Had a busy busy day around the homestead. Tonorrow I will be tackling M's room. I already warned her that I would be tossing stuff out. She didn't look too happy.. heh.. too damn bad.
P and I closed on our home equity loan. I wish we could just win the dammed lottery instead. We have a lot of things to take care of with that money.
M is still sniffly. O too. ::sigh:: I hope all this cleaning and tossing of CRAP helps cut down on the dust. P will be changing the air filter on the furnance. It's a month overdue. I am also running the air cleaners nonstop as well. Between these things plus the HEPA vacuum, things should be better around here. :::crossing fingers:::

The game

<img alt="doh.jpg" src="http://sugar-plum.net/kate/archives/doh.jpg" width="372" height="224" border="0" />

I am disappointed about the ball games last night. I wonder how much of a beating that one Cubbies fan will get for snatching that fly ball away from Moises Alou. From Fox Sports:

<a href="http://www.foxsports.com/content/view?contentId=1752476">Ballpark guards escorted the man, who was wearing a Cubs hat, from his seat along the low outfield wall and into a security office as the game ended. He covered his face with a sweater as he walked past fans who pelted him with cups of beer and shouted obscenities. Some chanted "kill him." </a>

<a href="http://sports.espn.go.com/mlb/playoffs2003/columns/story?columnist=stark_jayson&id=1638390">Even the Marlins feel sorry for that guy</a>:

"We'll be talking about that guy for a long time," Mike Mordecai (Marlins infielder) said. "We need to send that guy a box of chocolates."

and:

Asked if he was worried about The Fan's safety after the way he was berated, cursed and abused by his fellow Wrigley-ites, Florida's Jeff Conine said: "Yeah. I am. We're all concerned about that fan. Seriously.

Here's the kicker: And as that eighth inning careened onward, things got so ugly that security went from trying to protect The Fan to trying to persuade him to leave. Eventually, after resisting, he agreed to be escorted to a holding area inside the stadium. <b>And he didn't even wind up with the ball</b>.

This from <a href="http://sports.yahoo.com/mlb/news?slug=ap-cubs-foiledagain&prov=ap&type=lgns">Yahoo</a>:

<img alt="cubs.jpg" src="http://sugar-plum.net/kate/archives/cubs.jpg" width="225" height="169" border="0" />

And lastly, I have to leave you with <a href="http://sportsillustrated.cnn.com/2003/baseball/mlb/specials/postseason/2003/10/15/bc.bbn.cubs.foiledagain.ap/">this image</a>:

This is night two of O being all wired up on steroids. Her face is all flushed and she <i>cannot</i> stay still. Poor kid.

Did I also mention

that I hate dial-up? I have been trying to talk Mom into getting a cable modem but she has been balking due to the price. I keep telling her that it makes shopping online so much easier. Heh.

Posted by Cate at 11:58 AM | Comments (8)

Long morning

I am at Mom's place now. I was supposed to be here by 915am to meet the cleaning lady. I got totally trapped in rubbernecking traffic on the Garden State Parkway and never even made it. I had to call my mom (in NC) to get the cleaning lady's phone number. I left a message on her machine, telling her I was sorry I never showed up to let her and for her her to call me so we could reschedule. We drove back home and stopped at the bookstore. I promised to get O the "Chicka Chicka Boom Boom" book. The cleaning lady called back and I decided to drive BACK to Mom's place to meet her within an hour.
So - here I am. I *hate* when my mornings get all f-ed up!

O is still flyin'. We have to stuff her in bed very soon and pray she crashes. Go Red Sox!

Posted by Cate at 10:29 PM | Comments (0)

Oh man

O is FLYING from the albuterol/pulmicort treatment. Her face is red and she is racing up and down the hallway. It's gonna be a loooong night. This stuff is like crack!

Posted by Cate at 09:09 PM | Comments (0)

Diagnosis

Well - the doc just confirmed what we already knew. O has asthma. Usually when she gets a cold, she ends up with some slight wheezing. We are to keep up the albuterol nebulizer treatments. I have a script for Prednisone in case she gets worse.
Well - M and P are back from tae kwon do - it's dinner time!

Posted by Cate at 06:06 PM | Comments (3)

Doctor's Appointment

I have a 230pm appointment for O. See you in a little bit.

Posted by Cate at 02:07 PM | Comments (2)

Sickies

Oh man - O is getting sick again. She sounds like she is getting laryngitis. It's so cute but yet so sad - she's squeaky. M was running a low grade fever last night. So - they are both home today. P is off for Columbus Day. Ai yi yi. A full house. I have to call the doctor's office and try to weasel an appointment for O. They are usually pretty good about getting is squeezed in.
We did manage to find costumes for the girls. O will be a cowgirl and M is going to be a wizard. I waited too long to get their costumes. The selection was pretty crappy. I think I am going to order costumes from a catalog (like Lillian Vernon) next year.
Well, off to feed and medicate the troops.

Wow Cubs!

And the Cubbies snag another victory! Did anyone watch the Don Zimmer smackdown? What the HELL was that?? I cannot believe that Zimmer actually lunged for Martinez! Gotta admire the balls on that old bastard. I think Martinez just reacted - caught up in the heat of the moment. And the two Yankees kicking the crap out of the Fenway groundsman? Priceless, just priceless. Why the hell was he in the Yankee bullpen anyway? Fool.

Posted by Cate at 11:43 PM | Comments (1)

HOLY CRAP!

Martinez knocked down Don Zimmer!!

Woohoo! Go Red Sox!

Busy busy

We just went to Ship Bottom to plant dune grass as part of a Scout activity. It was a lot of fun! The weather was gorgeous. It was clear and sunny with a nice warm breeze. We were done in about an hour. I couldn't believe it. Last year, we didn't have as many girls turn out and it took us almost 2 hours. I think we have 15-20 people (girls and parents) show up to help.
Well - off to pay some bills. Yuck.

Posted by Cate at 11:53 AM | Comments (1)

Howdy!

P ran a diagnostic on the computer last night. He had the cable modem turned off so I couldn't use the other puter either. So - we watched the game last night. I passed out in the 10th inning.
Go Cubs!

Second Brownie Meeting

The second meeting went MUCH smoother than our first meeting. The girls and the leaders discussed the proper behavior for 7 and 8 year old girls. We also discussed what rules the troop should be following. They wrote them out on individual pieces of paper and signed them. A contract! Mwahahaha! We also let the girls know that if they broke the rules, they would have to take a "break" (timeout) and sit by themselves for a few minutes.
Once we got that done, the girls were very well behaved for the rest of the meeting. It was almost surreal. Go me - go me!

Posted by Cate at 05:37 PM | Comments (2)

Taking a break

Ugh - back from food shopping. I managed to save over $20 due to triple coupons. I wish I could afford to hire other people to shop for me. I don't think the supermarkets around here deliver. Can't afford that either.
Oh well.

So - how the hell are YOU doing today?

Posted by Cate at 11:59 AM | Comments (4)

TGIF!!

Thank you Lord - another school week is just about complete. O says her nose is all stuffy and "full of boogers". Joy. Oh - did I mention that she was possibly exposed to chicken pox? Freakin' lovely. I am going to keep her home.
I need to go food shopping. We have been so flat busted I haven't done a major food shopping trip for a while. I am out of all my basics for the pantry (like I even HAVE a pantry - LOL). Should be fun draggin' the little miss around ShopRite. Ugh.
I have to make photocopies for our Girl Scout meeting today. The lil buggers will be writing out the troop rules in a contract and signing it. Ha - you boogery Brownies!
Gotta bring M up to school. Catch ya later!

Incident at School - UPDATE

Well - it turns out that the lunch aids knew the girls were out there. Apparently they were looking for a lost necklace or some sort of trinket.
Kinda glad it was something that simple although I don't think they should have been outside alone even if it was for 2-3 minutes.

Interesting

When I was sitting at tae kwon do, watching M, I struck up a conversation with another Mom. She has a little girl, 4 yrs old, who plays with O while the lesson for the older kids is being taught. Her other daughter, 6, is in M's class. P came home early today and O stayed at home with him. The little girl was disappointed that O wasn't with me. I had overheard Deb (the mom) talk to another woman about homeschooling. I asked her if she would mind if I asked her some questions. She was extremely responsive and we ended up talking for the entire lesson! She gave me a bunch of links and books for more information. I have been interested in home schooling because I think I will have to do it with O if her food allergies (all dairy, nuts, eggs, fish) are still as severe as they are now. Deb also gave me a catalog for the Calvert School. I know a few of you lovely ladies homeschool your munchkins. What works for you? Where are some good resources online? Any information would be appreciated!

I am at my Mom's place right now - watering plants and making sure everything is on order. Next - O and I will be mapping out directions to an apple orchard. The troop will be going apple picking on Sunday and I wanted to make sure I had decent directions for the parents.
Catch ya'll later.

Fun at the mall

O and I had a great time. We stopped in the Disney Store (of course) and they were having a sale on a bunch of jackets and other clothing. I picked up two of <a href="http://disney.store.go.com/DSSectionPage.process?Section_Id=11848&Product_Id=145789">these jackets</a> for the girls. Originally $39.50 each. I got them at 50% off PLUS I had a $11.00 credit. Woohoo! Click <a href="http://sugar-plum.net/kate/archives/jacket.html" onclick="window.open('http://sugar-plum.net/kate/archives/jacket.html','popup','width=400,height=400,scrollbars=no,resizable=no,toolbar=no,directories=no,location=no,menubar=no,status=no,left=0,top=0'); return false">here</a> to see a close up view of the back of the jacket. While they are not winter coats, they are perfect for this kind of fall weather.

P(I)TA

Well - I'm home from the P(I)TA meeting. They reviewed the budget, introduced members, blah blah. They answered some basic questions. This meeting was mostly for the room moms and getting classroom information. As they were about to end the main meeting, the P(I)TA president asked if there were any other questions. Of course, I shot my hand up asap. I asked "Why wrapping paper? Don't get me wrong, I am all for raising money for the school, but WHY $9.00 wrapping paper?" I saw many heads bobbing and nodding in agreement with me. Theresa response brought up the fact that Innisbrook gives the school 50% of the money raised and last year the PTA's "cut" was roughly $25,000. But if "you could find a better fundraiser, be sure to let us know for next year." Bitch. SNOOTY bitch.
When I got home, I called my sis in law who works for a major candle company located in the northeast and is super popular. You might have seen some of their stores in almost any mall. ANYWAY - I found out that there IS a fundraiser company (<a href="http://www.gbimarketing.com">GBI Marketing</a>) that carries some interesting products. I already ciontacted them for information about fundraising for the spring and fall 2004.
Ugh - I need some coffee.
