Animal Cops

Has anyone wached this show? It is appalling to see what people do to animals. Makes me want to take them outside and beat them. I admire people who devote their career and lives to rescuing animals.

I cannot watch these shows. Or even the animal hospital ones. I get too upset.

I can't watch them either. My sister works for the SPCA in Alberta and on a daily basis files reports for investigation for poor treatment of animals. She says you develope a pretty tough skin for the images she sees every day but it's still a tough job. People can be nasty cruel. :(

I watch the shows whenever I have time. That is the kind of job I would LOVE to have! Animal Precinct has been my favorite for awhile. I so admire them for what they do.

I do admit though, it is hard to watch some of the stories. My husband will attest to the fact that I get quite emotional over it.

I hate to see how people treat their animals, but I still watch whenever I can. That poor blonde cop cries on every show. I don't blame her.

I've never seen the show but I have a friend who worked in an animal shelter and it was >hard< work - just emotionally exhausting. She had to quit about a year ago because it just got to be too much.

Those shows make me want to go adopt every pet in the shelter, so, yeah, I'm not supposed to watch those shows anymore! They're so sad though, seeing all those poor neglected pets. I don't know how you could do that!!

I LOVE BOTH SHOWS ANIMAL COPS AND ANIMAL PRECINCT.I WISH THEY HAD ASPCA'S IN EVERY STATE.

I watch these shows faithfully. I get emotional when I see a hurt or neglected animal. The pet peeve I have is this: if someone cannot afford to instantly shell out $800.00 in advance for an emergency, they are turned away from a vet. I don't think it is right that in order to receive assistence for the animal, the owner is forced to sign it over. Then, it is treated anyway, and put up for adoption. Most people truly love their pets and take great care of them. If you don't make a lot of money though, I don't think you should be forced to give up your beloved pet. I have a Miniature Schnauzer and a White Faced Cockatiel. They are both in excellent health. However, I am thankful I do not live in New York City or Detroit!!!

...sorry, my tail is between my legs. I didn't mean to post my same comment twice.

Posted by: Natalie at November 25, 2003 11:51 PM

I agree with the last comment. I hate it when the Animal Cops say "Not having the money is no excuse". Why don't their vets treat the animal and return it to its owner? Besides that, I watch the shows as often as possible. People who willfully abuse or neglect their pets should be ashamed of themselves.

While searching for bonsai plant sites I came across this site. This is cruel what they are doing to kittens and I don't understand why someone hasn't put a stop to it. Please check out the url and you will find out what I mean! http://www.bonsaikitten.com/bkgallery.html
They are putting kittens in a small glass jar with small holes. They keep them in there till the kittens bones has grown to the shape of the jar. Then they take them out. How far will this go.

i watch animal cops ever day its on. i just love the show. its hard to see animals be abused. i would love to open a shelter for all the abused animals that they have no room for or even the pit bulls that must be put to sleep because they were fighting dogs. i am only 18 but as soon as i graduate high school this year i am going to college to become a vet assistant then i plan to become a animal cop i hope to land a job in huston texas. i have great respect for all the people who are involved in saving the animals. I love these shows and watch them every chance I get. I am the proud parent of a tiny bundle of high energy that I rescued from a neighbor that was being cruel to her. Now we have each other and living happily every after.
Thank you your sight so that others can post there view, comments etc
