Bonkos Night
Tonight is Bonkos night. Ugh. I feel like staying home tonight but I am driving one of the ::ahem:: older ladies tonight. What the hell - I've got nothing to do tonight anyway.
This morning was a disaster. M was such a booger! She has this thing, which I have most likely enabled, about tying her shoes. She says the laces hurt her hands and she can't tie them tight "like you Mommy". ::sigh:: P and I have been making her tie her shoes the past couple days and you'd think we were actually torturing her, judging by her reactions. Crying and yelling and all this very dramatic eye rolls and stomping. I adore my children but I was really not liking M too much a couple hours ago. She decided to tuck her laces into the sides of her shoes INSTEAD of tying them. I explained to her that as soon as she started to walk or run, she would run right out of her shoes. I am not kidding when I say that it took her 20 minutes before she tied those damn sneakers. She moaned and whined and cried about it. But - she tied and double knotted her sneakers. She DID it herself. Don't misunderstand, she has known how to tie her shoes since Kindergarten. She just doesn't <i>like</i> to tie her shoes. I have been doing it just to save on time (I know.. I know). Now, she is going to tie them, by herself, every damn day. At this point, I refuse to buy velco sneakers unless she knows how to tie her shoes. She is going to wear those damn sneakers every day!!!
Whew - I feel better.

Thank God I'm not the only one! Jacob hates tying his shoes! That's the only bad mark he's ever received on his kindergarten report card. Not tying his shoes. And they will not do it for him there. So when I would pick him up almost every day his shoes would be tired and he couldn't have cared less!

She's testing you to see how far she can push you..... I think Bonkos is a good idea for tonight!! You need a break, because that pushing stuff can get annoying! *lol* {{{Hugs}}} Have fun tonight!! :o)

Jennifer pulls the same act on me. If I make her tie them she wines that they feel funny, until I'm ready to throw her shoes out the window.
