Much needed break

My gardens look a lot better now! YAY! My hands - well - they look pretty crappy. I can't wear gardening gloves, they flop around on my hands. I hate that. I think I will need to find and invest in a good pair of gloves.
O and I came in about an hour ago to eat lunch. Man - I was hungry! It's not like I miss meals but it must have been something to do with all that fresh air and good hearty work! I found a lot of worms when I was turning over the soil. O was so excited to see them worms. I would hand her worms and she would laugh when they would squirm around in her hands. Silly kid.
Well - back to the garden. I don't have much left to complete, just to rake up the last of the cedar mulch and get rid of it. I decided that I didn't like it anymore and I am going to go with licorice mulch. It stinks to holy hell when the bag is opened and it looks a lot nicer than the red cedar.

Walmart had some great gardening gloves last year... they had rubber palms and also came in kids sizes. The large kids fit my small hands perfectly. I bought three pair and used them all thoroughly last year. Not bad since they were $2.99. look for them!

I just raked out our front gardens as well. So much nasty mulch! I might find another alternative as well. I was surprised to see how many daffodills were buried under all that gunk! Yay for spring :elephant:

you should get the hershy mulch, it's made from cocoa hulls and smells like chocolate!
